To me it does not sound like your hammie is dying. He is just reaching old age. There is nothing to worry about. You should only worry about your hammie when he stops eating and drinking and he becomes old.

You need to explain more detail on the not having much fur, because if he's always had little fur, it might just be his breed. As for the long nails and yellow teeth, well, I have gerbils and I know for sure that those characteristics are just natural in rodents. No, your hamster is not dying, most likely.





PS: If he is losing fur, than you might not be feeding him enough. Just a hint.
