Did cavemen have REALLY long nails? 'cos there were no nailcutters then?

i dont think they'd get too long, theyd succumb to wear and tear, like every1 is sayin, but they probly didnt chew em down cuz they didnt really have any reason to care if they were long.Did cavemen have REALLY long nails? 'cos there were no nailcutters then?

They did not have enough Calcium and Vitamins in their Diet, I doubt if there Nails were strong enough to grow long.

I think that like wild animals, they would wear down in combat - or in this case, from the knuckles dragging on the ground!
But on the other hand (the one with long nails) wasn't the nailcutter a brilliant invention. I mean, so simple, so sleek. Who invented it? Jeez, if I was a caveman, I would want my nails long to gouge into the eye of the heela monster. But look at it this way, long nails in some cultures means that you don't have to do any manual labor . . .

No they just bit them off like most of us still do. Just take a look at the nails of your friends and workmates to see how many.

I never use nail cutters nor do I have long nails I bite them,
Cavemen had no nails they used screws
They probably chewed ther nails.
I don't think so because they did many things manually and they probably chipped due to the work process.
No I believe that they probably would have been broken off by the amount of manual labour they did at the time and if not I think they'd probably have bitten them off if they were really that bothered.
They would have been worn done by the daily tasks they had to do. I am sure the body would have been very balanced and the nails would have managed to stay short by themselves.
Yeah you are so right - cos teeth weren't invented then either.
