kk..so i have long nails and find it really hard to remove my contact lens with them without scratching my eye or poking at it..whats the easiest way to remove the contacts without damaging my eye?Contacts and Long nails???
There are suction toothpics available from your eyecare professional that you can use. But the danger is permanent damage to your retina shall your lenses not be there when you use that device. Another way would be to scrub your nails thoroughly and use the blunt edge of the nail to touch the eyeball and pick the lens out. To facilitate this, splash some saline into your eyes first.Contacts and Long nails???
I had that problem when I got nails put on. Just use the tip of the nails to grab the lens so it doesn't poke you. It takes a while to get in the habit of taking them off this way, though. Also, when putting them on, put it lower down on your finger so you can put it on and not poke yourself.
