Help me my dog has long nails?

my dog lives outside and he has stopped digging should I clip themHelp me my dog has long nails?
Yes! It will hurt your dog, even if he lives outside. You should take her to a groomer or to a vet to get it done though. If you are not experienced, you can cut too deep and hurt the dog.

Good luck!Help me my dog has long nails?
If you are not experienced with dog nail clipping then you should not attempt to do it on your own. You can easily clip too far and cut the quick of the nail, causing a lot of bleeding that is very hard to stop, not to mention it hurts your dog! You can take your dog to the vet and your vet can show you the proper clippers to buy and how to do it the right way. Then next time you can do it at home. But make sure you know how to properly do it before you try. Also, digging doesn't do the trick as far as a substitute for nail clipping. Dogs need their nails clipped every few months...

And you should consider bringing your dog inside... at least at night. Make sure they have good shelter and good bedding out there to keep them warm!

And again about the vet nail clippings - my vet does it for $10.00, which isn't bad at all. Check to see what your vets prices are.
YES are freakin crazy out of your mind! I recommend you bring it to a pet shop to get it's nails clipped because there a tissues and blood in their nails so you would have to be careful because if you cut the tissue the nail starts bleeding!
You need to clip them if they make too much contact with a hard surface when he walks on one. If they are too long, when he puts pressure on his feet, over a period of time, it will damage the feet.
yes but you need to be careful. animals have something called quicks in their nail. if you clip to far you will puncture it and it is full of blood it will bleed everywhere and be immensely painful for your pup.
Yes, you should always keep your dog's nails trimmed, especially if he's outside. If they grow too long they can be tangled in weeds or get hooked on something and he can rip the entire toenail off and this can be very very painful.
No offense, but it's kind of obvious: either cut his nails with a dog nail clipper (you can get a pair at a pet store0 or bring him into the vet to get them clipped.
If your dog has long nails, you shouldn't definitely clip them. Just be sure to watch out for the nerve- the quick.
if you want but since he lives outside he walk and eventually dont grow any longer
yes, they need to be clipped, take him to the groomer, mine clips my dogs nails for only 5 bucks
ok...yes cut your dogs nails..or go to the groomers and have them cut the nails..it is about 5 bucks where i live.
NAW yah think? I mean if the nails look long clip them. That should be an obvious solution
